Can we get married anywhere? (Cabin, Park, etc…)
Yes. That is where I officiate most weddings! East Tennessee is a beautiful place, whether you love the scenic views of the Smoky Mountains or are looking for something fun & creative – pick a location that means something to you, and I’ll meet you there!

Can we choose the wording used throughout the ceremony?
Absolutely! The ceremony should reflect the couple! You have the freedom to customize the ceremony during our pre-planning consultation. I want you to be relaxed and enjoy your wedding ceremony!

Can we write our own vows?
I encourage it! The vows are one of the few ceremony elements where the couple’s own words and voices are heard. If you’re comfortable, writing your vows, this a great time to declare to everyone present how you feel about your fiancé!

How long is the ceremony?
Every ceremony is different, but most are between 10-15 minutes. It depends on what elements you chose to include. Some couples want all the traditional elements, while other couples just want a short intimate ceremony. I recommend couples choose the things that are important to them, and let the ceremony flow naturally.

What is your attire for the ceremony?
One thing I love about East Tennessee is the variety of ceremony styles. Whether you want formal, southern, or more casual attire, I work with each couple to compliment the overall look and feel of the ceremony.

Can we select readings or do you have suggested readings?
I am happy to suggest scripture/readings that are appropriate for the ceremony. However, I encourage a couple to change any elements of the ceremony that will best fit them.

Is a sound system for the ceremony included?
I offer ceremony audio (as an add-on). Set the tone for your ceremony with background music while guests are seated, include the perfect songs for those key moments, and ensure your guests can hear what is being said!

No Power Needed & No Noisy Generators! Just because your ceremony site is remote, doesn’t mean you can’t have it all!

We’re still searching for vendors, can you help?
Yes! There are some great local vendors that I would recommend for your ceremony!

Can we select readings or do you have suggested readings?
I am happy to suggest scripture/readings that are appropriate for the ceremony. However, I encourage a couple to change any elements of the ceremony that will best fit them.

Do you require that premarital counseling be done?
No, but I do offer & encourage pre-marital counseling for those couples who want to take advantage of the extra resource. My goal is beyond a wedding, but a thriving marriage and lifetime commitment.

Do you perform ceremony rehearsals?
Yes. While completely optional, I will be happy to take any additional measures to help ensure your ceremony is just as you wish (an additional fee will apply).

How do I reserve you for my ceremony?
I would be honored to be part of your big day! If I am available on your desired date & time, I will send you detailed pricing information to review. From there we will set a time to discuss your ceremony in detail and make sure your wedding is what you have always envisioned! I look forward to hearing from you!

How do I obtain my Marriage License?
The Bride & Groom must go in person to the County Clerk’s Office and present proper identification. If you have been married previously, you must know the date your previous marriage legally ended. Once you obtain a license from the Clerk, it is valid for 30 days, with no waiting period.

Do you return my marriage license?
Yes! If the Sevier County Clerk’s office issues your marriage license, I will return your license by hand. If another county issues it, I will likely return your signed paperwork by mail.
